Peter started his professional life in the City of London litigating insolvency and banking disputes. He worked for National Westminster Bank and Coutts & Co in their Corporate Recovery Teams in both London and New York.
Peter also managed a large portfolio of cases for the liquidators of BCCI recovering substantial sums in litigation throughout Europe and in Pakistan. Peter moved out of the City in 1996, principally to add some private client variety to his corporate banking expertise, and now runs CWD’s banking litigation department for several lending institutions in Qatar and the U.A.E.
Peter spends most of his time at the High Court in London but runs an extremely diverse caseload including the resolution of employment disputes, sports disputes, professional negligence and contentious probate claims as well as criminal appeals and cases involving defamation of character.
As well as fighting cases for clients through the courts and other tribunals, Peter also takes joint instructions from disputing parties to resolve their differences through mediation. To this end, Peter is a CEDR accredited Mediator.
Away from the law, Peter is kept fully occupied by a wife, three children and the misery of following West Ham United.
